"I'm persuaded that this book is an essential aid to getting people on your side. Invaluable"
Sue Lawley, BBC Radio and TV presenter
"This is a handy readable guide... the author persuaded me to review this book. Damn, he is good"
Jeremy Vine, The Times
"This book should be on every individual's bookshelf"
Sir John Harvey-Jones
When i took this book, my first thought was that it is another self-coaching book saying that everyone can do everything, just they need to trust in themselves and know particular concepts.
This book is an extremely easy to read and follow. Author tends to give a clear how-to and Dos and Donts advises throughout the book. James Borg certainly did a good job in keeping the reader interested. Each chapter has subtopics, funny pictures and real life examples.
This book tells how to keep audience interested, how to make people believe you and how to listen to other people. Most of the time author relates the art of persuasion to the work life. How can you succeed in the business if you do not know how to communicate effectively? A good review and summary of the book can be read here
Of course it is all true... Me, personally, I did not really enjoy the book so much. It was a nice reading and it gave me couple of tips. However, for me it was just a repetition of some social psychological theories in the form of ideas for 'masses'. Nevertheless, this is what the book is about. It gives you the ideas from the great work psychologist and coach, James Borg, and he made it so understandable and easy to read and learn that everyone can get something from the book.
